COVID-19 Resources
To be eligible to participate in Club activities, members must be fully vaccinated for COVID per the CDC guidelines
At this time, members are not required to receive a booster dosage, however we strongly recommend all members consider it to be optimally protected against COVID-19 and its variants.
If you don’t meet these requirements, regardless of your age, you are NOT fully vaccinated. Keep taking all precautions until you are fully vaccinated.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation (Q&I) Calculator is an online, mobile-friendly tool to help people follow quarantine and isolation guidance and get customized information for their unique situation. Developed in response to requests from partners and the public, the Q&I Calculator provides an easy-to-use way to figure out when and for how long people with COVID-19 and close contacts need to stay home, get tested, and wear a well-fitting mask. The calculator also provides important information about what precautions people with COVID-19 and their close contacts can take to protect loved ones and slow the spread of COVID-19 in their communities.
The Q&I Calculator is not for people with COVID-19 who are moderately or severely ill or those who have a weakened immune system—they should talk to their healthcare provider about when to end isolation. Healthcare providers can learn more about ending isolation for these populations by referring to the Ending Isolation and Precautions for People with COVID-19: Interim Guidance.

FAQ:
Questions are bound to come up. Here is a link to a list of the most common questions and answers.
Q: Why aren’t we allowing unvaccinated members to participate on water?
A:
- To maximize safety of club members; CDC guidelines support fully vaccinated people interacting without masks or social distancing
- Wasabi Helms have determined that social distancing on the boats by staggering seating is not safe, especially during summer months with rough water
- We do not have the tools or infrastructure to ask coaches, helms and captains to manage vaccine status and/or negative COVID test results at each practice for each attendee.
- Wasabi continues to monitor CDC and OHA guidelines and will welcome unvaccinated paddlers back on water as soon as it is safe
